Hot plates and induction stoves are both handy for cooking. But they use specific methods and have different advantages and disadvantages.
Induction uses magnetic waves to heat up pots. Pans have to be magnetic, so non-magnetic cooking utensils can't be used. While on a hotplate, any kind of utensils can be used.
It takes some time getting used to on how to perfect the temperature settings in an induction stove but measuring temperatures of a hotplate is easier. A hotplate takes up less space and is portable. So, it is a great deal for travelers or those with a smaller kitchen. If you want to buy a stress-free and simple cooking stove, then I will recommend you go for an Electric Hot Plate.
